The League shall be certified with the United States Bowling Congress through their local associations. League members will have the option of joining The National Bowling Association. If joining TNBA through this league the one time cost is $25.

2. The League shall consist of seventeen (17) teams. The League will bowl on Tuesdays for 30 weeks. If Christmas falls on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday the season will start the first Tuesday of September, with two weeks off for Christmas and New Year's.  If Christmas falls on any other day of the week the season will start the second Tuesday of September, with one week off between Christmas and New Year's. WE WILL BE BOWLING THE WEEK OF THANKSGIVING.

3. Practice begins at 6:15 PM. All scheduled matches will start promptly at 6:30 PM. No practice balls are to be thrown after that time.

4. The League will have two division of nine (9) teams each.

4A. The league season will be split into two parts.  Each part will consist of thirteen (13) weeks to include a position round on the 13th week  At the end of those 13 weeks the teams with the most points will be champ for that half.  If there is a tie for first place at the end of either half a one game roll-off will take place that night to break the tie.  If a player cannot stay they will be permitted to bowl out.  The winner of the roll-off will be declared champion of that half.

4B.  The qualifying teams in the playoffs will be seeded in each division as follows:  1st--half winners with more total points for the season, they will receive a bye in the first round of the playoffs.  2nd--half winners with fewer total points for the whole season.  3rd--team that did not win either half but has the most total points for the season of the remaining teams in their division, they will be the wild card.  If one team wins both halves there will be two wild card teams.

4C.  The 27th week of the season will have the 3rd seeds bowl the 2nd seeds in each division.  All team not involved in the playoff will bowl another divisional position round based on total points for the whole season.

4D. The 28th week of the season will have the 1st seeds bowl the winners of the previous week's playoff matches.  All other teams will bowl a position round based on total points for the whole season.  THIS IS THE LAST WEEK TO EARN POINTS AS A TEAM.  After bowling each team (except the two teams that won their payoff matches this week) will draw a random number for their lane assignment next week.

4E.  The 29th week of the season will have the winners of last week's playoff matches bowl each other for the league championship.  Everyone, with a maximum of 4 per team, will bowl a singles tournament.  The prize money collected for this week will be the purse for the tournament.  Bowlers will be split by the sexes.  We will pay the top one third places for both men and women.

4F.  The 30th week is Fun Night for all league members.  There is no charge for bowling but there is a Fun Night Prize Fee of which 100% or more is paid out in prize money.

5. The management of the League shall be vested in the Board of Directors, which consists of the officers and team captains. The League membership shall elect officers and the Board of Directors shall adopt the League rules. A majority shall constitute a quorum.

6. The amount to be paid by each bowler, including subs, each night, shall be $20, of which $14.00 covers the cost of bowling. The balance will be placed in the League treasury. Team captains are responsible for the collecting of all bowling fees. All fees should be turned in to the League Treasurer before the end of the first game.

7. The secretary of the League shall be paid $15 per week they bowl. The treasurer of the League shall be paid $8 per week they bowl. The President and Vice President will have their entire $28 USBC certification fee paid by the League.

8. A checking account shall be opened in the name of the League at PNC, in which funds will be deposited weekly. Withdrawals from the account may be made only with the signatures of the Treasurer, and the President or Vice-President of the League.

9. Bowlers will use averages established last season in this league, based on 21 or more games. A new bowler who has an established average from another certified league must use his/her highest average from LAST season, based on 21 or more games. This average will be used for the first 9 games bowled in the PNC league. Then he/she will have an established average to be used from that point on. Any bowler without an average from the previous year will bowl for average on their first night of bowling.

10. Handicap for each team is 80% of the difference between their current team average and a set figure of 880. For example, your team total is 656; you subtract that from 880. The difference is 224. Multiply by that 80%, you get 179.2. ALWAYS drop the decimal so the handicap would be 179.

11. To qualify for individual awards, a bowler must have bowled in one-half of the scheduled games. Teams and individuals can qualify for one high game and one high series award. No individual bowler can win more than one individual special trophy--e.g. high avg., high game, or high series. New bowlers with no established average are eligible to qualify for handicap awards after bowling nine (9) games. 90% of the difference between the bowler's average and 220 will be the basis for handicap for handicap awards.

12. Captains will turn in rosters of team members to the Secretary subsequent to the start of the season. Team rosters will be limited to eight (8) members. Any roster changes must be reported to League Secretary subsequent to the time the member bowls. Four team members should be scheduled to bowl each week. This constitutes a full team lineup.

13. A list of floating substitutes shall be maintained by the League whenever possible. No new bowlers may join the League in the final six weeks of the schedule without approval of the League officers. Each member is responsible for getting his/her own substitutes when unable to bowl. Do NOT call the League secretary for substitutes. An absent member is responsible for monies owed.

14. Both regular and substitute players shall constitute a legal lineup. A minimum legal lineup must include at least two players. A legal lineup must be met by the 5th frame for each game. When a team fails to have the minimum legal lineup, the opposing team must bowl within 40 pins of their current team average in order to win points by forfeiture; otherwise they will be credited with a loss. Points not won for failing to bowl the prescribed score will not be credited to either team. Seven points will increase the loss record of the team not present.

15. Absentee scores shall be allowed when a team has a legal lineup, but has less than a full lineup at the start of any game in a series. If a team has fewer than four bowlers present on any given night, with a roster of more than four bowlers, the average of the bowler who is absent shall be used as the basis for handicap, BUT, each absentee score for the game will be reduced by 10 pins. When a team does not have enough players on its roster to constitute a legal lineup, a vacancy score of 145 shall be used. Such score shall be the basis for the handicap.  If a bowler has not bowled and they are absent, a vacancy score instead of a blind score is to be used.

16. A committee of two league officers and one team captain shall be appointed to determine what is sufficient cause to grant a postponement. In emergencies, the captain of the team unable to attend shall notify the league secretary or the President at the earliest opportunity. All pre/post bowling must be done as a team at the house that the league is bowling at that season with at least one league officer present. Teams have one month from the date of the postponement, or the end of the half whichever comes first, to make up the games.  If games are not made up they will be considered forfeited.

17. Standings shall be determined by total points won, with two points awarded for each game won and one point for the high team series in each match. In case of a tie game, each team receives one point. In case of a tie series, each team receives a half point.  If a team bowls one or more pins higher than the combined average of the players bowling that game they will receive one bonus point for that game. The maximum number of points a team can win in one night is ten (10). The maximum number of points a team can lose in one night is seven (7).

18. In all playoff matches the team that wins two games will be declared the winner of the match regardless of how many points they win.  If each team wins one and a half games then the team that wins total pins for the night will be the winner of the match.

19. To qualify to bowl in the knockdowns a league member must have bowled nine (9) games to bowl in the knockdown on week 13 and twenty-one (21) games to bowl in the knockdowns on weeks 26-29.

20. Prize money will be published toward the end of the season by place finished. The team that wins the Championship Roll-Off will receive first place money, the non-winner of the roll-off, second place. The remaining teams will be paid by the number of points for the full season. Ties will have two or more place monies added together and split evenly amongst the teams.

21. Team resignation or withdrawal—if a team must withdraw from the League during the season, 2 weeks notice must be given, in writing, to the League Secretary, signed by each member of the team. The notification must include a satisfactory reason for the withdrawal. If either the 2-week notice or the satisfactory reason is not met, the team will forfeit all accrued prize money, and can be reported to the local sanctioning association. In addition, regardless of sufficient notice and reason, the team is responsible for paying a MAXIMUM of 2 weeks league fees, or until a replacement team is found. Failure to pay these fees will be handled by subtracting them from any prize money due.

22. Team member resignation or withdrawal—any member that resigns from their team—must provide them with a 2 week notices. They must also attempt to find a replacement. They must also pay for both weeks of bowling. They will not be entitled to any of the prize money at the end of the season.  If a league member quits and this causes their team to have less than four (4) people on its roster that team will use a vacancy for the 4th bowler until a replacement can be found.

23. If any bowler is in arrears two (2) weeks in league fees, they cannot bowl until it is made current, or the team is responsible for the fees.   THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO A BOWLER WHO IS ABSENT OR A VACANCY IS PRESENT ON THE TEAM, PER USBC RULE 119a..
